Why cleanse?

Your body spends much of its energy (sometimes up to 70% of your entire day's supply) digesting the foods you consume.

Some foods - like fresh fruits and vegetables, smoothies, soups, and other quick-burning simple carbs and many raw proteins - digest very quickly in the mouth and stomach and very little effort is needed once the food reaches the intestines. More standard foods in the typical American diet - including cooked red meats, dairy products, processed foods, and heavy carbohydrate sources like bread and pasta - burn slowly and require lots of help from the small and large intestine to fully digest. This constant process wears and tears the entire digestive system over the years, and can take a toll on your body as a whole.

A detox cleanse, using fresh fruit and veggie juices, reduces the need for heavy digestion for a few days and allows your body to take a much-needed rest. This resting period frees up energy, allowing your body to address other issues you may be having, sometimes ones you didn't even notice, while simultaneously infusing your body with an abundance of vitamins and minerals designed to seek out hidden toxins and help expel them naturally.

Ordering your cleanse

Cold-pressing produces juice that is real, alive, and requires careful preparation in order to preserve the most nutrients possible.

We do not heat up (pasteurize) our juices - ever. Juices are meant to last days, not weeks, and therefore we make each cleanse fresh for you the night before your starting date. Please allow at least a full 48-hours' notice prior to your start date for us to craft your cleanse.

We will do everything in our power to get you started on your preferred date. However sometimes the demand for delicious cleanses is too great on a particular day, and we may have to push yours back, usually no more than a day. Cleanses are processed on a first-come first-serve basis, so the farther in advance you order your cleanse, the better your chance of starting on your preferred date.

Again, we will make your cleanse the night before your start date, no matter how far in advance you order, so you’ll be sure you’re always getting the freshest juice possible. Happy cleansing!

The Process:

  • Order online or call 775-852-1401 (Orders must be placed 48 hours in advance)
  • Pick up your complete cleanse the morning of your scheduled start date. 
  •  Start drinking Drink 1 within 45 minutes of getting out of bed (consider this your healthy breakfast, kickstarting your metabolism bright and early for essential cleansing).
  • Drink a juice every 2.5-3 hours. In between juices, we suggest filling up each finished bottle with water and consuming it.
  • 90% of the time you feel like you need to cheat, ample amounts of water can cure that craving, and is necessary for your detoxing body!
  • If you do cheat, cheat responsibly! Keep drinking the juices in the same order at the same times, supplemented by those ever so guilt ridden cheat cheeseburgers!
  • Have fun! Practice enjoying interpreting your body's reactions to a 100% raw, healthy diet. 
Preparing for your cleanse

The day before 

The day before you start, we recommend limiting your intake of caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, refined sugars, wheat, and processed foods. Munch on some fruits, veggies, nuts, and have a good salad for dinner along with some lean protein. This will make the transition to your cleanse a lot easier on your body and mind.

During your cleanse

We suggest starting your first juice within 45 minutes of waking. Doing so will jump-start your metabolism and get your day off on the right foot.

Drink your juices in order and space them out every two or three hours throughout your day. This will make sure you’re constantly and consistently supplying your body with the proper nutrients. In addition, keeping a regular drinking schedule will help your body adjust quickly during the initial transition of the fast.

Drinking water is essential during your cleanse. The live nutrients in the juice will allow your cells to dump built-up toxins, and the water will help wash them all away. Try to drink as much water as you can in addition to the juices. For optimum cleanse results, try to match your body weight in ounces of water. Herbal teas are also encouraged, but try to refrain from any caffeinated teas during your cleanse.

Your juices are made in a commercial cold press, ensuring the quality of each drink is preserved for the entire duration of your cleanse. However, we suggest keeping the bottles sealed and refrigerated until you’re ready to enjoy them. Consume each bottle fully before opening the next, as too much oxygen exposure will reduce the longevity of the juices.

You may experience some fatigue, irritability (being "hangry"), headaches, and other general discomfort during the beginning stages of your cleanse. These are good things!  They’re all signs that toxins are being dumped from their hiding places in your body and are fighting their last fight before elimination. You may find yourself heading to the bathroom a few more times a day. This is normal as well; your body has to rid itself of those pesky toxins every way it can.

If you’re on the 'jüs 'til dinner' cleanse, we suggest eating a light, lean meal at least 3 hours before going to bed. This will ensure full digestion before your body shuts down for the night.

Coming off the cleanse

Congratulations! You’ve made it through your cleanse and your body is thanking you! But don't chow down on that large pizza just yet. Your stomach has shrunk from the lack of food, and proper buildup should be taken  as you ease your way back into the eating world. Here are some tips we like to use:

Start your morning with something very light and easily digestible. Good choices include half a banana, an orange, a smoothie, a simple soup, etc.

Gradually increase toward more solid foods like rice, quinoa, whole vegetables, etc., and see how your stomach responds. If you feel discomfort, keep drinking those smoothies until a little later in the day, then try again.

After you can handle these foods in moderate quantities, experiment with other foods in your usual diet and see what works. You should be back to normal by this point, but don't overdo it before you feel comfortable at all stages.

Start your morning with a smoothie or piece of fruit or vegetable to help your transition back to your fully solid diet.

Gradually increase toward more solid foods like rice, quinoa, hearty salads, and lean proteins throughout your day. You should be back to normal by dinner time, but don't overdo it before you feel comfortable at all stages.
